The TV screen is a full-screen page you can show on a display or projector in the clubhouse. It lets your members and visitors follow along live: which matches are being played right now, the latest results, the upcoming matches and the current standings. The page refreshes itself automatically, so you don't have to touch it during a playing day.
What you see on the screen
The screen shows your club logo and club name at the top, along with a clock and an indicator that shows when the display was last updated. Below that are three blocks of matches and a column with the standings:
- Now playing: the matches from the current round, with a blinking red dot. There is no live in-progress score, just the label "in progress" plus the court. That's because Slams doesn't record a point-by-point live score.
- Recent results: the most recently played matches with their final score.
- Upcoming: the next scheduled matches.
- Standings: a separate table per part, with a label for the format and the level. With groups, each group gets its own little table. The columns adapt to the format (points, games or rounds won). See also how standings work.
All standings come from the same calculation engine as the dashboard and the club page, so what's on the screen matches the rest of Slams exactly.
Active competitions only
The screen automatically shows all competitions and tournaments of your club that are set to active. Are there no active parts? Then you'll see the message "No active competitions". As soon as you publish a part, it appears on the screen automatically.
The matches playing right now
For round-based formats like Americano and Mexicano, and for King of the Court, Slams determines which matches are "now playing" based on the current round. So you control this by generating the next round. When you enter a result, it moves over to Recent results. You can read more about entering results at entering scores.
Opening and displaying
You open the screen from the dashboard and then set it full-screen on your clubhouse TV, for example via a laptop, mini PC or a cast stick. Do you want to show your events and registration button on your own website instead? Then use the embed widget.
