Frequently asked questions
DSS stands for Dynamic Skill Score. It is a rating system where the adjustment depends on the level of your opponent. Beat a stronger player and you gain more. Lose to a weaker player and your rating drops faster.
Slams uses a scale from 7.0 to 10.0. New players start at 8.0 by default. The admin can adjust starting ratings by hand for each player.
Yes. Every player has a profile with a chart of their rating throughout the season. It is visible on the public club page.
Slams calculates ratings at team level. The team rating is the average of the two players. After the match, the individual ratings of both players are updated.
Yes. Ratings update for both ladder and tournament matches. That way you build a consistent picture of every player’s level, whatever the format.
