What is it?

What is Team Americano?

In a Team Americano you register as a fixed pair and stay together for the whole tournament. Only the opponents change: each pair takes turns playing against every other pair. The pair with the most games won wins.

How does it work?
  1. 1
Register as a fixed pairYou sign up together with your partner. The two of you stay one team for the entire tournament.
  2. 2
Round-robin against every pairSlams generates the opponents each round so that every pair plays against every other pair.
  3. 3
Playing for gamesEach match is played to an agreed number of points, and games won count towards the standings.
  4. 4
Automatic court allocationThe courts are divided per round, and a pair is never on two courts at once.
  5. 5
Winner on total gamesThe pair with the most games won after all rounds wins.
