Frequently asked questions about formats

For 8 players, Americano and Mexicano are ideal. In Americano, partners rotate every round so everyone plays with everyone. Mexicano pairs players based on the standings. Both formats work well on 2 courts.

In Americano, partners are paired at random every round. In Mexicano, partners are paired based on the current standings: number 1 plays with number 2, number 3 with number 4, and so on. Mexicano is more competitive, Americano more social.

Americano or Mix-Americano (mixed) are the most popular for business events. After two hours you have played with every duo. King of the Court is a great addition for a lively closing round.
