What is Mix Americano?
Mix Americano follows exactly the same rules as a regular Americano, but with one extra rule: every pair always consists of one man and one woman. Ideal for mixed events, club days or tournaments where the social mix matters most.
- 1Equal split of men and womenMake sure you have an equal number of men and women. Slams takes this into account automatically when it forms the pairs.
- 2Mixed pairing each roundEvery round you get a new partner of the opposite sex. You never play twice with the same partner.
- 3Individual scoringJust like in Americano: every point you win counts towards your personal total.
- 4Keep playing until everyone has playedThe tournament runs until every man and every woman has played together at least once.
- 5Winner decided on total pointsThe player with the highest total wins, whether man or woman.

Ideally, yes. If there are more men than women (or the other way around), not every combination can be made. Slams gives a warning when the balance is off and adjusts the rotation to be as fair as possible.
Yes. You can run multiple competitions side by side through Slams. That way you can organise a mixed tournament and an open tournament at the same time from the same dashboard.
