What is Mix Mexicano?
Mix Mexicano combines the smart ranking-based pairing of Mexicano with the mixed-doubles rule of Mix Americano. You always play with a partner of the opposite gender, and your opponents are decided by your position in the rankings.
- 1Round 1: random mixed pairingThe first round starts at random, but always one man and one woman per pair.
- 2The standings take shapeAfter every round, all players are ranked by their individual points total.
- 3Mixed pairing based on the standingsThe rankings decide the opponents: the top man plays with the top woman, against the number 2 of each gender.
- 4Playing for individual pointsEvery point you win counts towards your personal total, no matter who your partner is.
- 5A winner after every round is playedThe player with the highest points total wins. Man or woman, it makes no difference.

Mix Americano pairs players at random, while Mix Mexicano pairs them based on the standings. In Mix Mexicano the matches become automatically more balanced after the first round, because you always play against participants of a similar level.
No. In Mix Mexicano there is one combined ranking. Men and women are listed side by side, sorted by total points. The pairing only takes gender into account for the partner role, not for the ranking.
