Want to collect entry fees online for your tournaments, competitions or club days? Then you first connect a payment provider to your club. Slams supports two providers: Mollie and Stripe. As soon as one is connected, participants pay their entry fee while they register and the money lands directly in your bank account. Slams never holds any money itself.
Where do you set this up?
You set up the connection in the dashboard under Settings, on the Payments tab. Only a club admin can connect a provider. You only need to connect one of the two, but you may hook up both. If you have connected both Mollie and Stripe, Slams automatically uses Mollie for the payments.
Mollie or Stripe: which one do you pick?
- Mollie is the most widely used payment provider in the Netherlands and supports iDEAL, credit card and more. For Dutch and Belgian clubs this is usually the most convenient choice. You connect Mollie in a few clicks through a secure authorization, no keys required.
- Stripe is an international provider and supports credit card, Bancontact and more. You create a Stripe account free of charge during the connection process. You will need a business or personal bank account for this.
What does it cost?
Connecting itself is free. On every paid registration, Slams charges a service fee of 7% (minimum €1.00). For each event you decide whether the participant pays that fee on top of the entry fee, or whether you absorb it as the organizer. The provider's transaction costs and the payout to your account run through Mollie or Stripe themselves. Read more about the plans in Plans and pricing.
Setting the entry fee
A connected provider only becomes useful once you also ask for an amount. You set the entry fee per event, when you create it or through the settings of an existing event. See Setting the entry fee.
