Entered the wrong result? No problem. As an admin, you can always adjust a result or delete the match. Slams recalculates the standings and, where applicable, the players' ratings automatically.

Correcting a result

You correct results in the dashboard, in the same place where you enter scores. Go to the part and open the tab with the schedule or the rounds. For a match that has already been played, there is an option to adjust the result. Depending on the format, this is labelled Correct result, Edit or change. Open it, enter the correct score and confirm. The old result is overwritten.

The standings update right away. Slams derives the standings directly from the matches, so there are no separate totals you need to update by hand. You can read more about this in how standings work.

What happens to the rating?

For formats that count towards the DSS rating, such as a tournament or a ladder, Slams first reverses the old rating change when you correct a result and then calculates the new one. That way corrections never stack up: your player keeps exactly the rating that matches the correct result. Formats without a rating, such as a league or an Americano, do not touch the rating at all; there, only the standings are recalculated.

Deleting a result

Want to remove a result entirely? Correct the score to the right value, or delete the whole match from the schedule. The latter is possible for formats with free match control, such as the league, where each match has a delete option next to it. The standings are then recalculated and the related rating history is cleaned up along with it. Just want to adjust the ranking without changing results? Then take a look at adjusting standings manually.

Players and the score-entry link

Are players entering their own result through the score-entry link or a court QR code? That link works only once. As soon as a match has a result, no one can overwrite it through the link anymore; you will then see the message "Result already entered". After that, corrections are always made by you as the admin in the dashboard. That way you stay in control of the final standings.
