The player profile

Everything a player sees on their own profile: rating, rating history, registrations, challenges and badges.

Every player in your club has their own profile. There are two views: a personal profile ("My profile") that the player sees after logging in, and a public player profile that anyone can view. This article explains what you'll find on each of them.

My profile: the personal view

A player who is logged in on the club page and opens "My profile" sees their own details neatly gathered in one place. At the top is their name with their current DSS rating shown large. On this scale, lower is stronger. That means winning lowers your rating and losing raises it. You can read exactly how this works in DSS rating explained.

My profile also shows:

  • Recent results: the five most recent matches as a win or loss dot, plus a short win/loss count.
  • Rating chart: how the rating has developed over time.
  • Rating history: a table showing the rating before, after and the difference for each match.
  • My registrations: the competitions and tournaments the player takes part in, with the ladder position for ladders and the group assignment for tournaments, plus the name of their partner.
  • Credits and badges: their own credit balance and the badges they have earned. Credits are financial data, so they appear only on the personal profile and are never public.

Challenges and entering results

If the club plays with a ladder, open challenges appear on My profile: challenges the player has sent or received. As soon as a challenge is accepted, the player can enter the result themselves through a small set form. Slams turns that into a match and, for a rated competition, immediately updates the ratings of all four players. Both teams receive a confirmation email. You can read more about challenges and rewards in Badges and challenges.

Rating not correct? Request a change

If a player feels their rating is wrong, they can submit a rating change request at the bottom of My profile: the desired rating plus an optional explanation. The request goes to the club administrator, who reviews it and approves or rejects it. Only one request can be open at a time.

The public player profile

Alongside the personal profile, every player has a public profile page that anyone can view, even without logging in. It shows the rating, the position in the club ranking, number of matches played, win percentage, the longest streak, the best rating ever, the rating chart, badges, a head-to-head overview against opponents, and the recent and upcoming matches. Financial data such as credits stays deliberately hidden here. You'll find a detailed explanation of these figures in Player statistics.

Linking yourself to your club

A player only sees a personal profile once their account is linked to a player record at the club. When opening My profile, the player can pick themselves from the list or sign up as a new player. Administrators can also add players themselves, see Adding players.
