Slams lets you run a tournament without Excel hassle. You pick a format, add the participants, and Slams builds the schedule automatically. This article walks through the basics.

Step 1: start a new part

In your dashboard go to Competitions and click New. The wizard first asks what kind of event you are organising (a single tournament or a larger event with several parts) and which format you want to play.

Step 2: pick the format

Not sure which format fits? Use the format finder on the formats page. For a social, casual setup an Americano is ideal; for a classic tournament with a winner, pick a group stage + knockout.

Step 3: participants and courts

Add the teams or players (or let players sign up themselves via a link) and set how many courts you have. Slams spreads the matches fairly across the courts.

Step 4: generate the schedule

Click Generate schedule. Your tournament is now ready with all rounds and matches. While you play, you enter the scores and the standings update automatically.
